Lydia & Jamie approached me many months ago about shooting their wedding, and I was excited as I had not shot at the stunning Stubton Hall before!
It really is a stunning wedding venue, and even though it was a cold winters day outside, the inside was cosy and warm and a perfect place to get married.
I arrived at the venue for bridal prep photos and was taken aback by this venues pure beauty! With the curtains of fairy lights, the stunning pond outside, and the grand staircase inside (to name but a few of this venues awesome features) I just knew that this was going to be a wedding to remember!
Lydia and her maids were in the process of getting their hair and makeup done when we arrived, so this gave us some great opportunities to get some lovely prep photos. As the sun was lowering in the sky, the gorgeous lighting that filled the room made for some amazing shots.
Being a December wedding and a 3pm service, we knew that time was of the essence if we were to get some daylight and sunset portraits after the service. After the service ended, while the guests enjoyed mulled wine we popped outside in time for the most stunning winter sunset.
After the portraits, and groups shots, Lydia, Jamie and their guests settled down to the wedding breakfast. Lydia and her mother-in-law made all of the decorations for the room (along with the bouquet and button holes), and it looked AMAZING. You could see the amount of time and effort that had been put into this wedding, with all of its little touches, and you could feel the love for this couple in the room!
As the wedding breakfast ended, and the funny yet emotional speeches were over, the bride and groom and guests mingled around the venue before we headed out to have some fun with sparklers!
Before we knew it, the evening was upon us and time to party with the amazing band and DJ! Lydia and Jamie had practiced a routine for the first dance and it was just brilliant!
As the evening settled in, the party got going, the dancefloor was full and as the band played some belters.
What an absolutely brilliant wedding!
